Ishin Rerolls: What They Change, Starting Amount, and How to Get More
Rerolls in Ishin re-roll your character's face, hair, outfit, ethnicity/height and fighting style. You start with 20 — here's how to use them and get more.
Quick answer
Rerolls change your Ishin character's traits: face, hair, outfit, ethnicity/height and fighting style. A new character starts with 20 rerolls, and redeeming promotional codes is how you stock up on more.
- What they change: appearance (face, hair, outfit, ethnicity/height) and fighting style
- Starting amount: 20 rerolls during character creation
- Getting more: codes work only after you join the game's Roblox group
- Fighting styles: use the character menu or the school dealer NPC
Rerolls let you change your character's appearance and fighting style. Rerolls are the currency that lets you roll those traits again until the whole build — the look and the combat — suits how you want to play.

What rerolls change
Rerolls cover two pools of randomized traits:
- Appearance. Your face, hair, outfit and ethnicity/height combination. Appearance examples include grudge, gothic, y2k, realism, coquette and cute styles, along with accessories and eye colors. For the bigger picture on looks, see the character customization guide.
- Fighting style. Your style defines your moveset, and there are 12 unique styles across different rarity brackets. A few examples: Boxing is straightforward hand-to-hand punching, Aikido lets you slide into an opponent with a ragdoll forfeit followed by a heavy strike, and Kendo can appear with an exclusive keyblade weapon look. The fighting styles list breaks down what each style does.
How many rerolls you start with
You get 20 rerolls when you create your character. That starting batch is meant to be spent right there in character creation, re-rolling your fighting style and traits such as ethnicity/height until you land a build you like.
How to use rerolls
- Open the character menu. Fighting styles are rolled through the character menu.
- Roll until you like the result. Each roll gives a random result for the trait you are rerolling.
- Chase rare styles with auto-roll. The combat menu has an auto-roll setting for cycling fighting styles until a rare variant appears.
- Use the school dealer NPC for styles. You can also cycle between fighting styles by visiting the school dealer NPC and spending Yen or rerolls.
The school dealer lets you spend Yen or rerolls on fighting styles.
How to get more rerolls
To stock up, redeem promotional codes — they award free Rerolls. One prerequisite: join the game's official Roblox group first, because codes only start working once you're in the group. Working codes rotate as new ones arrive and old ones stop working, so grab the current list from our Ishin codes page.
