Ishin Classes: What You Attend and Where to Find Them

Ishin's classes include Music, Science and P.E. plus more. Press P to open the school map, walk to the classroom or science room, and see what each class covers.

Quick answer

Ishin runs regular classes that you attend together with other students. Music, Science and P.E. are the named ones. Press P to open the school map, pick the room you want and walk there: Music class is where you learn instruments, and Science class is where you do experiments.

  • Press P for the school map; it marks room locations such as the classroom and the science room, not class times.
  • Instrument skill sits inside the wider skill set you build toward the ultimate exam.
  • Growing plants and mixing them with potions are the school activities described alongside science experiments.
  • Attending classes is part of normal play and is associated with earning more different types of rerolls over time.

Classes are a regular part of the loop rather than a backdrop you run past on the way to a fight, and they run alongside the game's other school activities rather than replacing them. The feature list that names Music, Science and P.E. stops at "and more" instead of naming the rest, so treat those three as confirmed and expect the school to hold more than them.

Finding a class and getting to the room

The navigation tool is the school map. It marks the school's locations so you can see where things are before you set off: the classroom and the science room are among the places it shows, together with the racing area and other rooms.

  1. Press P to open the school map.
  2. Read the marked locations and pick the room for the class you want.
  3. Walk to that room; the map is there to get you to the right place.

One distinction is worth keeping straight: the map shows where rooms are, not when classes run. It is a location aid, so if a class is not underway when you arrive, the map is not the thing that will tell you why. Use it to find the room, then attend the class there.

What Music class is for

Music class is where you learn instruments. That matters beyond the classroom, because instrument skill is part of the broader skill system in Ishin — the same pool of skills you raise while preparing for the ultimate exam. In other words, time spent on instruments is not a side hobby disconnected from progression; it feeds a skill that the game counts.

If you want to spend more time with the instruments themselves outside class, see the Ishin musical instruments guide.

What Science class is for

Science class is the experiment class. Ishin's own description invites players to "Attend classes and have explosive science experiments", which places experiments squarely inside the class rather than in an optional side room.

The science side of school life also shows up as activities around class: growing plants, and mixing them with potions. Those sit next to science experiments in the same descriptions, so they are the closest supported picture of what the science half of the school involves — activities that pair plants and mixtures rather than a separate exam-style subject.

P.E. and the rest of the timetable

P.E. is named as a class in the same list as Music and Science, so you can plan on it existing, though the available descriptions do not go into what happens during it. The unnamed extras work the same way: the game says the list continues, so the school's schedule is not limited to three rooms. If you are mapping the school for the first time, the Ishin beginner guide covers the first-session basics, and the school clubs guide covers the club side of school life.

Why attending classes is worth the walk

Classes pay back in rerolls. The supported relationship is a simple one: the more you attend classes while playing, the more different types of rerolls you earn over time. No per-class payout or exact rate is attached to that, so treat it as a steady, play-time-based build-up rather than something you can farm in a fixed number of visits.

If you are deciding whether to detour to a class or skip it, that is the trade: a short walk now for a growing pool of reroll types later. For what rerolls actually do and how to get more of them, see the Ishin rerolls guide.

Putting a class trip together

The three steps above are the whole routine; what makes it worth repeating is that classes are regular rather than one-off, so the reroll benefit comes from attending them as part of ordinary play instead of a single visit. Repeat the trip whenever you are back in the area, and when you pick a room, choose the classroom or the science room depending on whether you want instruments or experiments.

If you are also working on money while you are at school, the Ishin jobs guide covers where to work and how shifts pay, and the codes page covers redemption if you need extra rerolls for character rolls.
