Ishin Locations Guide: School Rooms and Town Spots

Where to find Ishin's named locations — the music room, infirmary, pet cafe, salon, konbini, apartments and more — and what you can do at each one.

Ishin's Roblox map breaks down into three areas you will learn fast: the multi-story high school, a town strip of shops and paid jobs, and the apartment complex. The music room, infirmary and rooftop garden are inside the school; the pet cafe, salon, konbini and photo booth are in town; and the apartments are bought at their own reception desk. Press P to open the school map when you need to find your way between them.

Finding your way around

Press P to open the school map. It shows school places, including where classes are held and rooms such as the science room and the racing area, so you can head to your destination instead of wandering the halls. Pressing Shift and P together activates a free camera mode that lets you look around the map from any angle.

Inside the school building

The school building holds most of the game's named rooms:

  • Classroom — where you attend classes, the backbone of school life.
  • Science room — run science experiments and mix potions. Alongside rooftop gardening, this is one of the steady ways students earn yen.
  • Gym hall — play basketball, but only once you have multiple people who actually want to play with you.
  • Music room — play songs on the guitar, including anime themes like Cyberpunk Edgerunners and K-On!. Our playable guitar guide covers where to find it.
  • Infirmary — the place to heal; players have fled losing fights here to recover.
  • Gambling room — one of several rooms meant for hanging out with other players.
  • Racing area — marked on the school map.

One more school landmark worth knowing: the dealer NPC at the school cycles your fighting style for yen or rerolls, so you will end up back here as you reroll. See Ishin rerolls for what rerolls change and how to get more.

The rooftop garden

Head to the school's top floor and up onto the roof. The garden there has communal soil where you plant seeds, water them and collect harvestable flowers — rooftop gardening is described as one of the game's steady income sources alongside the science room's potion experiments.

The town: cafes, shops and side jobs

The town area is where you spend and earn:

  • Pet cafe and pet shop (ground floor of the town complex) — the cafe is a cat cafe where you can hang out with cats. It is also a job: speak to the store manager behind the front counter, pick the clock-in dialogue option, and work a shift cleaning pet messes and serving patrons at the register. Completing the shift pays 800 yen.
  • Salon — change your hair color here, or talk to the salon NPC to get a job styling customer hair.
  • Clothing store — buy new outfits for your character.
  • Konbini — a 7-Eleven-style convenience store where you can grab a basket and shop (one new player found the prices steep) and where you can work, too.
  • Photo booth — enter with other players for a group photo; you can draw on the bottom of the picture.
  • Street graffiti — spraying graffiti for the city thug NPC is another town-based way to earn yen.

The pet cafe and salon both pay through clock-in shifts — the jobs guide covers where to work, how to clock in and what shifts pay.

The apartment complex

Apartments are private living spaces you buy at the front reception desk — a standard room runs about 12,000 yen (one guide puts it at 12,050). After paying, head to the residential tower and find your assigned room number across the building floors. Read the room numbers as you go: new players have wandered into other numbered rooms before finding theirs.

Once inside, build mode lets you lay flooring (wood runs about 1,000 yen, with clean marble slabs as an alternative), raise partition walls to divide bedrooms and bathrooms, and place furniture. You can also grant friends access by clicking the ID icon in the build menu and entering their username. To make the room your permanent spawn point, open settings, go to the Main tab and switch Spawn at Apartment on so you load straight into your room. The housing guide goes deeper on getting an apartment and what you can change inside.

If you are brand new, the Ishin beginner guide walks through getting through your first session.
