Ishin Phone Guide: Apps, Bank, Weather and Camera

Use the Ishin phone to send yen to friends, check the weather, take pictures and message other players. See the full app list and Bank transfer limits.

Quick answer

The phone in Ishin lets you send yen to other players through its Bank app, check the weather, take pictures of the scene around you with the Camera, and message other players. All of the phone's apps live in its App Menu.

  • Bank — send yen to another player by username
  • Weather — check the in-game weather
  • Camera — take pictures of your surroundings
  • Messages — message other players

The phone is Ishin's hub for the social side of the game: paying friends, chatting, photographing the moment. You pull it up in-game and everything it can do sits in one place, its App Menu. The sections below go through that menu app by app.

Every app on the phone

The App Menu lists nine apps:

  • Information
  • Weather — check the in-game weather
  • Messages — message other players
  • Contacts
  • Voice
  • Link with People — one player report describes linking phones to connect
  • Music
  • Camera — take pictures of the scene around you
  • Bank — send yen to other players

The Bank is the one with real rules attached, so it gets the closest look below.

Send yen to a friend through the Bank

The Bank app moves money between players. To send cash to a friend:

  1. Pull up your in-game phone and open the Bank application.
  2. Enter the recipient's username.
  3. Enter the amount and press Send.

The recorded transfer screen starts at a ¥10 minimum. A player guide also reports a larger maximum per transfer, a cap on what the recipient can receive and a system tax — treat those three as guide-documented figures rather than confirmed interface rules:

LimitAmountHow it's known
Minimum per transfer¥10Visible on the recorded Bank screen
Maximum per transfer¥15,000Reported by a player guide
Receiving cap¥10,000Reported by a player guide
System tax on transfers20%Reported by a player guide

Since transfers go to a username, you'll want the exact username of the player you're paying before you open the app.

If your balance is running low, jobs are one steady way to refill it — the Ishin jobs guide covers where to work, how to clock in and what shifts pay.

Check the weather

Open Weather from the App Menu to check the weather in Ishin. The phone is where the game exposes its weather, so it's a quick glance before you head out into town or across the school grounds.

Take pictures with the Camera

The Camera turns the phone into a picture-taker for whatever is in front of you: raise the phone, aim it at the scene and take the shot. One player put it to work mid-session — two other players were fighting, so they raised the phone, aimed it at the fight, snapped the picture and put the phone away. What ends up in the photo depends on where you point it, since the camera captures the surrounding scene as you aim it.

Message other players

Guides describe the phone as the way to message other players, and it also lets you send them money — the money side runs through the Bank app described above. Between Messages and the Bank, the phone covers both staying in touch with friends and paying them.

The App Menu also lists Link with People. One player report describes the idea behind it: players can link phones with each other in the game to connect. One group sat together in the school infirmary and linked each other's phones there. The available sources don't show how linking is started or confirmed on screen, so the exact steps are undocumented.
